Rhubrab Tea

Art in the Age has brought us some wonderful old spirits with fresh life. In the past VG has looked made cocktails with Root and {SNAP} but now Rhubarb tea is up to bring life to the month of July.

I know some of you may not know what rhubarb is? It is a vegetable that acts like a fruit and looks similar to celery; the look more is reddish and the leaves that sprout are more floppy than celery but it is the closest thing to give you an idea of what it looks like. It has a natural flavor that pairs it well with fruits in desserts and in salads because of that reason it acts like a fruit. Rhubarb can starts off tangy in flavor and it is crisp and structured in texture.  Add a little sugar and heat and it becomes a complimentary flavor with strawberries, raspberries, watermelon, peaches shall I continue?

The Rhubarb Tea is an example of what Art in the Age does; taking an old idea making it their own with their interpretation of the spirit. This time the inspiration was John Bartram and his award winning Rhubarb tea all the way back in the late 1700s.  This was a great idea and perfect execution Art in the Age Rhubarb tea as a bunch of playmates in its design.  Beets, carrots, cardamom, petitgrain, pure sugar cane and lemon all played a role in the creation of this spirit.

What does that mean? It means it is time to enjoy, the Rhubarb tea spirit is versatile and a great starting point for a summer cocktail. With a 3 day 4th of July weekend on the horizon there is no reason not to pick up a bottle and have a blast.  Having the Rhubarb tea by itself works just not for everyone making cocktails on the other hand it is grab a bunch of fruit and have a blast, it won’t be hard from strawberries to watermelon they all work well.
