Pumpkin Pie Cocktail

Thanks to our friends at Starbuck’s pumpkin season starts on September 1st, well it is October 1st and time for a Pumpkin cocktail.Vanilla vodka is a classic way to start off this cocktail, for the Vintage Grind version Corsair Vanilla Bean vodka is up to bat.

This is probably the best vanilla vodka I have ever had and because of that it makes and excellent choice. The boys out of Kentucky made a hell of an artisan vodka, but enough about that.

Let’s talk Pumpkin Cocktail and it starts with pumpkin butter, then a clove, cinnamon stick (or ground cinnamon) Brown sugar syrup and a dash of all spice. This will open up the pumpkin pie feel in the cocktail. The final ingredient is heavy cream it adds a nice body to the drink and gives you that cream texture you get from Pumpkin Pie. Garnished with a cinnamon stick and graham cracker rim.

Pumpkin Pie Cocktail

1 ¾ oz. Corsair Vanilla Bean Vodka
½ oz. Heavy whipping cream (skim milk substitute)
¼ oz. Brown sugar syrup
Bar spoon pumpkin butter
3 Cloves
1 Cinnamon stick
Dash of all spice
Garnish cinnamon stick and graham cracker rim

In a pint glass put a dash of all spice the cloves and cinnamon stick then fill with ice. Pour the Corsair Vanilla Bean Vodka, brown sugar syrup and heavy whipping cream. Shake hard and then double strain into a cocktail glass. Garnish with a cinnamon stick and enjoy!!
